Pablo Bornstein

Pablo Bornstein received his first degree in History at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2011. He later got a Masters degree in Middle Eastern Studies at Tel Aviv University (2014), where he received as well his doctorate in 2019, after writing a thesis on the national and historiographical debates that took place in Spain during the period of the Bourbon Restoration with regards to the Muslim and Jewish legacy in the country. The result of this research has been published recently by Sussex Academic Press under the title, Reclaiming al-Andalus: Orientalist Scholarship and Spanish Nationalism, 1875–1919.

He has published some articles related to this question in international journals such as Religions y Dictatorships & Democracies. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Jewish Studies of the University of Potsdam.
